The main characteristics of the articles depend specifically on the operating conditions of the instrument itself.
In the boiler sector, resistance to high temperatures and resistance to acid condensates are required. In the transport and distribution of drinking water, however, sector certifications (European and global) are required to certify suitability for use in contact with water intended for human consumption.
Obviously, there are also specific requirements relating to physical-mechanical performance (EN 681.1 WA-WB). For waste water, certifications relating to the performance of the compounds and/or products are very often required (e.g. EN 681.1 WC-WG).
Organic rubber compounds developed for molding articles in contact with drinking water (o-rings)
Organic rubber compounds developed for the extrusion of articles in contact with drinking water (ACS, WRS certifiable tubes)
Organic rubber compounds developed for molding articles in contact with waste and sanitary water (EN 681 WC approved technical articles)
