Household appliances

The household appliance sector, commonly known as the “white goods industry”, uses organic and silicone compounds formulated to be transformed into manufactured articles (mainly custom-designed technical articles, gaskets, sleeves and tubes) intended to be assembled into products dedicated mainly to both civil and industrial applications. Typical examples are washing machines, dishwashers, food processors and many others, present both in homes and in accommodation facilities such as hotels, restaurants, etc.

The characteristics of the compounds for the household appliance sector depend specifically on the operating conditions of the appliance in which the items will be mounted.

In some cases, specific properties are required, for example if in the presence or contact with electric currents and contact with potentially aggressive detergents towards the gaskets/sleeves. An often important aspect is linked to the absence of efflorescence phenomena for black compounds or chromatic stability for colored compounds. This is necessary and strictly required by the market in the case of products that are visible in the final product.
